Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right.

First out of the chute...RIP to all of those who lost their life 7 years ago.

The hot tub is freaking awesome. I haven't slept that well in years. I slpet right through the entire night with no tosses, no turns. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

The new attitude at work seems to be working for me. I don't feel as miserable and I am feeling like more a part of the team and the solution rather than the problem. My input around here is being received with more respect and more weight than before. The only bummer is that now I am in the main office instead of my semi-private one. As a result I don't get to play as much. *pout*

I still have to upload pictures of this and that. I haven't had a chance. Stay tuned, I'll probably just post some random pics. :)

I don't get to get around to the blogs as much as I used to. It is very hit and run. I can run and check now and again at work but not like before. At home I have been keeping so busy that surfing the net doesn't happen as much as before. :(

OT. I liked the idea that Monsty had. It should close down for two months prior to all elections. OT used to be fun. Now 90% of the front page is politics. It's not a fun place to go so I don't even miss it anymore. I go everyday, I see what's there and then don't bother coming back when I scan page one and nothing has changed. OT will probably end up a thing of the past for me except for Twosdays. I miss how it used to be but since that isn't the OT of late I have to just deal with it and move on. R.I.P. OT, you were once fun. Sorry, but Geg, PRE, Hobbs, Singer, Rudy and a few of other OTers (who I can't think of at this moment) have ruined it for a lot of people. Assholes.

Ending on a good note...We both were so happy to have our first night in the hot tub last night. We opened a bottle of our favorite Almond champagne, hopped in the tub and absolutely relaxed. So wonderful.

I don't think OT should be shut down, I think there should be an election forum.

I'm still waiting for those pics, but understand the busy thing. I mean look at all that time you are spending sitting in the hot tub. :-)

Unfortunately there isn't a mod around who would want to be in charge of that forum.
The only thing they could do would be to let it be a free for all. Let them bash the hell out of each other but know that if you get bashed, you can't alert anyone because there is nobody listening. Otherwise I can't see them setting up a political forum. Not unless they found some fool who would want to moderate it.

Remember, this is a reality tv website. OT and any spawn of, is not necessary for Webby.

I have a feeling that the blogs are going to get a bit busier for awhile until OT gets straightened out. Welcome all.

Did I miss a non-OT discussion about OT? I've been missing a lot lately.

I wasn't around for last election season on OT. Guess I underestimated how ugly it gets. :(

I am so sick of the politics on OT, it makes me ill. I have enough crap going on in my real life that I wish I could come to the OT of my youth and forget all the negative. One day, it'll either get better or get gone. *sigh*

I think everybody needs a good 'ol @twirl@

I think politics should be banned from OT. I'm sure there are plenty of political messageboards out there. Why dirty the playground?

I think everyone should come play on Losers Island (as long as Tribe hosts this year). It was way more fun than OT last time around.

I'm not going to stop posting in OT, just the political threads and by God I'm going to start as many food, beauty products, beer, hot tub, etc threads as possible!

*smooch to all of you, just cause I'm a hussy and like smoochin'

I agree with Tummy, if they want to argue politics... go somewhere else. That's what us normal people have to do now anyway. We don't get any information from the political threads on OT to help us make voting decisions, it's just rude nasty people trying to outrude each other.

*fondly remembers the OT of the olden days*

It's about time you got a hot tub, Ms Bravie! For a minute there I thought you spent the night in the hot tub, which would be a very pruney experience for sure!

Have you posted pics of your hot tib? I want a pic of the hot tub!!!

I'm glad work has become much better experience for you.

I will be the lone dissenter, although it does me no good. As you said, Bravie, it's ultimately up to Webby and the mods if they want to have the trouble of a politics/election forum. I know they've dreaded the thought before.

However, I'll say that talking politics and other matters with OTers is one thing that makes it such a special community. It's not just about one topic. There's a chance to learn a little bit about who a person is beyond one aspect of their lives. I like listening to people talk politics on there, specifically. I have a fuller picture of that person, know whose opinions I trust and who is probably just blowing smoke. The only thing I don't like is the propaganda posting like Singer does, or the blatantly inflamatory comments of Geg and PRE. Then there are peeps like Rudy and Mattben whom I just skip over because I know they are full of bigoted idiocy.

*sits with Swami on the Old OT couch*

I stopped going over there a long time ago, and I am happy to say I don't miss it. Well, I miss the OT of old (wheezy, landru, dweeze, sami, swami, lisapooh, supes, spidey, etc), I do not miss the OT of the last few years. Thankfully my favorite OT buddies have blogs. *hugs to all*

Bravie, glad to hear the hot tub is a hit. Can't wait for our foursome of you, me, Michelle, George Clooney. *big grin*

Glad to hear work is going better. That is terrific!

And again I say...almond champagne? Never heard of it.

Don't give up on OT just yet. I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't a few changes in store, just need to work out some bugs first. And everything and anything that happens on the board WILL be moderated. No worries on that front.

Glad you like your hottub. I lvoe mine. Just wish I could get it open all the way. I can only get half the cover up and sitting uder the overhang gets claustrophobic. :-) Still love to use it, though.
