Survivor Pool

All Survivor pool winnings have been sent out.
Congrats again to Puffy, Glow, Sonya and Lightsy.

I also sent you your refund for overpayment, Doc.

Maybe we'll do this again next season if there is enough interest again.

Thanks for doing this, Carebear. It was real fun to bitch about being knocked out in the second week. *grumble*

No problem. It is much more fun though when you don't get kicked out early.

This is the first betting pool that I've ever won.

I'd like to thank all the little people (or at least the people inside this box).

I'm in for next season!

It's not that I'm a sore loser or anything but goshdarnit! This isn't fair. I only did this whole thing because I thought I'd win it. If I had thought there was any chance that I wouldn't, I would have never let you talk me into this thing. Damnit.

MM <--NOT a sore loser

Also, congratulations to the winners!

MM <--very well aware that nobody talked me into this, and frankly, would do it again (of course next time I need to make sure that my money is refundable if I don't win). *grin*

So glad Puffy finally won something!

Did she win a date with Aras too?

I'd like to have a date with Aras. This is from the CBS website:

Aras Baskauskas completed his undergraduate program in three years and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine. In 2003, he was named one of UC Irvine's "Most Eligible Bachelors" in the student newspaper.

Baskauskas continued his education at UC Irvine and graduated from the Graduate School of Management, where he received his Masters in Business Administration. He is proudest of being the only student to have played NCAA Men's Division One basketball on scholarship while in the MBA program.

Baskauskas is a former professional basketball player, having played briefly overseas in Lithuania. After leaving the court, Aras moved to Capetown, South Africa, where he opened up a donation-based yoga studio. He currently works as a yoga instructor in Santa Monica, California. His hobbies include meditation, golf and surfing. He describes himself as outgoing, compassionate and genuine.

Baskauskas is currently single and living in Santa Monica, California. His birth date is September 26, 1981.

Carey - this was a blast! Thanks for operating it for us. You have been a great hostess! Have a great weekend!

But Puffy, can you pronounce that last name. Puffy Baskauskas is a mouthful.

Carey, have you lost anymore eyelashes? A bald eye is very unattractive.

As of this morning, I had lost no more eyelashes.
But there was a huge spider in my sink last night which freaked me out. I washed it down the drain, poured Listernine down the drain, poured Isopropyl Alcohol down the drain, filled the sink with piping hot water, added more listerine and alcohol to that and then pulled up the plunger thing so that the sink was full of that mixture all night.
This morning I drained the sink and then after brushing my teeth, I filled up the sink again. I will not let that critter back up into my sink. *shudder*

I have a reality tv related question for you, carey.

Do "little people" use children's booster seats at restaurants? I forgot to look when Chris tuned into Little People, Big World this weekend & there was a restaurant scene. You probably paid better attention to these things and are now my "little people" expert.

Oh YAY!!!! Little people questions. *hop*
No Kim, they don't use the boosters.
Cool thing: In the last episode, Matt (the Dad) had the house remodled. They remodled the kitchen for little people. So the stove and the countertops were all a foot or so shorter. Amy (the Mom) had a hell of a time in the kitchen before because she had to have stools all over in order to reach things. The new house is beautiful and perfect for little people.
But no, the don't use the booster seats. Although they are short, they are still too big for the kid's seats.
I LOVE the Roloff farm. I want to live there.

See, I knew you'd know.

Chris had the episode on where they were planning their remodeling and having issues with building codes.

All codes were met. Great improvement on the house. It was sort of a dump before but now it is gorgeous.

I watched 2 episodes of this show, Carey, but I didn't like the dad in either ep. He really annoyed me - so I stopped watching.

Lol on the remodeling thing. I still remember my dad arguing with the carpenter when we remodeled my childhood home. He wanted kitchen counters that were 4 inches higher than normal and carpenter guy tried so hard to talk him out of it.

Our bathroom counters were higher too. When I was a kid I always though my friends all had defective houses because their counters were all too low!

When I remodeled this kitchen a few years ago I added 2" to the counter height - not really noticeable but I don't have to hunch my back doing stuff on the counter now.

Swami, when I first started to watch, Matt annoyed the shit out of me. But really, he grows on you. *snort* get it?
But seriously, I thought he was an asshole but I really admire his hutzpah. He has no fear of anything and this guy absolutely chases his dreams. He doesn't let his handicap get in his way of anything.

I've found the Little People show recently. There was another show about the really small little people, about 1/2 their size.
