It's like a heat wave

Temps here in the Bay Area have been hitting record highs. Today, we are going to a bday party where it is supposed to be 101 degrees and 72% humidity. We San Franciscans aren't used to that. And no, we have no A/C.
I hate being inside when it is sunny outside but it's just too damn hot to be outside.
I'll have to suggest some indoor activities until it is time to go to our party late this afternoon.
I don't have much else to talk about. Just not feeling all that talkative or social lately. *shrug*

Oh yuck. I hate humidity. We get a lot of that here and I just wilt. Our temperatures are down in the last couple days, thanks to all the rain yesterday.

*sends cool thoughts to Carey and Michelle*

I'll try to send you some cool thoughts too, but we are in the midst of pretty much the same weather with no a/c either. I would give you a hug, but it is too hot. *smooches*

I like the fans that have water misters in them. It was 119 degrees here yesterday. Yesterday it was dry and felt like Las Vegas. Today it is humid, more like Hawaii. I can get the "feel" of the locales without actually going there.

According to my car, it was 122 degrees outside when I came out from shopping today. Of course, that was on a giant parking lot, but still. *ick*

I recommend indoor activities that involve nudity and ice cubes. Be imaginative.

When I grow up I want to own a pool. Then I can enjoy those stupidly hot days.

Actually, when I grow up I want to be a pool. I'll just sit around all day and be cool and popular.

You want people to pee in you? That's just gross. Even for a chemist.

Some of us don't pee in the pool, Carey.

*snort* Carey makes me laugh. Humidity, not so much. You have my sympathies. It's a beautifully cool day here but the heat is supposed to return by the end of the week. Ugh.

I agree, it's awful to be inside when it LOOKS beautiful out. Being in WI, I'm used to humidity, although it doesn't make me enjoy it any more.

I turned the AC on for a bit yesterday. I was happy.

Sounds like they picked up Atlanta and moved it 3000 miles west. It's been very hot here lately but luckily we got some rain over the weekend.

No a/c. One year when my broke and the boys were little I bought a little wadding pool, kicked them out in the evenings and became a beach whale. Seriously!

I want a pool. I have been outside very little this summer. It's hot and humid here too.

No A/C?

Good morning, sunshine.

I thought of you first thing this morning. I have no idea why. I awakened with a dream of feeding caparisoned elephants, who patiently stood in a row while I sliced bananas for them. Maybe you like elephants?
