MissRaven over on OT is my new favorite. She posted in Jbug's anniversary thread and her post is a hoot. It's a flyswatter, swatting a bug. I nominate that as post of the year. Thank you Breezy for pointing it out to me or I would ahve totally missed it.
If I were in the mood to get banned, I would reply to Jbug's post. Her response was "I don't know if you want me dead and gone"...I want to reply with "not dead, that would just be mean"

I agree, much love for MissRaven. I'm beginning to think JBug/Agman/TenorSaxy are either the same peep or just some nasty brother-sister-lover triangle!
They make my skin crawl and I hate that feeling.

Honestly, I didn't find that post to be funny at all. I actually felt it was kind of mean spirited... but, I also don't find those people annoying.
*shrug*
Let's just say that some people do a fine job of hiding their mean spiritedness behind a friendly face out in public and they save that spirit for private. And on the ocassion that they do it in public, it can be hidden very well to those who don't know the truth. For that reason, I believe that Jbug got what she deserved.
Ok. I can certainly understand that. If you had an incident with certain peeps that I haven't, then I can see you feeling differently than I do.
We all find different people there annoying, and often for very different reasons. I have blog friends who dislike people who I like, and vice versa, but one thing I've learned is that my friends here (blogland) are good people. I haven't seen anyone gang up on someone without provocation (not that anyone has been ganged up on).
Sure, sometimes there are snide comments directed towards some of the peeps there (in the blogs), but unless there is a reason, rarely anything more than that.
I trust that when someone here dislikes someone strongly, there is a reason. I would never just assume anyone here is mean spirited (not directed at Nutzy's comment, btw, just the best way to phrase what I'm trying to say). I haven't had any contact with Jbug on or off of OT so while I might find the presumptuous manner in which she posts annoying, I don't have stronger feelings than that. But I also believe I have not been privy to everything that has transpired to make certain people feel as strongly as they do about her, so I have assume they have their reasons.
First of all, I agree with what mm said. Every word.
I find jbug and agman to be minor annoyances but nothing more. I think the post in question WAS mean spirited. I also thought it was hilarious.
I also think that in a way, they deserve what they get because they "dove" into the OT pool without looking; without lurking long enough to understand the community. They have every right to do that, but there are consequences to that kind of behavior. They'll either adjust, they'll leave, or time will soften things and they'll be tolerated.

Quite frankly nutz, the person in question was a nasty little bitch to me. So yes, I found the pic of the bug being smooshed quite funny.
She was also a bitch to Augie and a bitch to me. So I will continue to find it funny.

I do know that Bravie loves me, cause she sent me presents.

DF, as far as I know, you did not show up acting like you owned the place. and then you were not rude in PMs when some of the oldies were trying to be helpful in trying to help you fit in. You fit in very nicely when you came along. As do MOST newbies. she popped into OT as if she owned the place and then made stabs (both in public and private) at people. And then she instigates things and makes her little comments. I am getting all kinds of feedback and not one of them has been postive about Jbug.
I agree with blondie, DF. The problem isn't that she just jumped in, it's the way she jumped in and continues to act.
I do agree she can be annoying. I also think she is calming down a bit as well. Sometimes.
I think you and I have discussed before that I really don't even notice her.
But I did find that funny. I guess MissRaven needs an official shirt now.
