I had a dream

It's strange because it involved my Grandmother and I have not had a dream about her since she died on December 10th, 1995.
The dream: I went to a family reunion. I remember all of my Mom's side of the family being there and Grandma was sitting at the head of the table. We were all seated outside and eating fresh lobster and crab.(I used to go crabbing in Virginia Beach, where Grandma lived)
I wouldn't eat the lobster in the dream because people were pulling off their front claws and the lobster were running around alive on their hind claws. they were about two feet tall.
After we ate we all went on a trek but then got kidnapped by a cult. We rode through these secret military tunnels and then were forced to start a new colony with existing kidnappies.
At one point I had to have blood drawn and it freaked me out. I remember screaming and crying in my dream when they were taking the blood.
The doctor came back and said that I didn't have enough energy in my blood and that I needed to start taking more energy pills. After that, I tried to escape the colony but a huge 20 foot python wouldn't let me leave the area. So I ate pie.

Yes, the blood is clearly my fault.

Poor Carey. At least you got pie.

Seriously, this made me giggle:

After that, I tried to escape the colony but a huge 20 foot python wouldn't let me leave the area. So I ate pie.

My most recent freaky dream involved me asserting to something with really big teeth that it didn't frighten me and it could just go back where is came from right now. I have noticed that if I stand my ground in dreams, the thing chasing me can't actually get me. Weird, isn't it?

I get mad about feeling helpless and scared and I stop and stand there glaring at whatever, and it makes a lot of noise, but can't touch me. I think I'm getting the hang of controlling my dreams. I've been working on it for years now. Yes, I know how weird that sounds. I don't care. I'm sick of being chased by scary things and waking up with my heart racing and not being able to get back to sleep because all the shadows in the room suddenly look like they're going to eat me. What do I, a grown woman, do then? Wake up my husband to snuggle me and tell me it's just a dream? Even if he didn't outright laugh, it would be embarrassing to admit.

Sorry for rambling.

Where did you get that dream interpretation stuff, Arkie? A bunch of places, or do you have a favourite?

If for nothing else, they cause Monsty to say the word "stigmata" to me. *runs screaming*

If you don't want your lobster, can I have it?

I've had many dreams of my Grandmas since they died but they've never involved cults or snakes. You're weird. *grin*
