How happy am I? I think the title says it.
After shopping last night and all day today, we finally came home with EVERYTHING that we were shopping for and then some. And we didn't have even one argument. Not even the tiniest of arguments.
Today's score: 42" flat panel, mountable, plasma tv for the living room.
15" flat panel, mountable, plasma tv for the guest room.
One dark brown leather, sofa bed couch.
Two merlot leather, swivel, rocker, recliner chairs.
We took home the 15" tv with us today. The 42" will be delivered on Friday and mounted AND hooked up to our entire existing theater package on Saturday. The recliners are being delivered on Saturday as well.
You have no idea how happy I am. We wanted to have all of this before the end of June and have sort of passively been shopping. But last night we went out and aggressively started to compare and did the same this morning. Four electonics stores and three stores with furniture and all is completed. This makes Carey a happy camper.

DH would be incredibly jealous of all the loot you got. Well mostly the TV's. I bet "Little People, Big World" is gonna be fine on it!

Our original goal was to do this all by October. But since Jen and Glowie or coming here in June, we decided we wanted to get it done by then.
Now the only major thing that we want done by October will be recarpeting. It would have been nice to do that before getting new furniture but that would have been way too logical.
I can't waitn until Saturday when everything is here. *hops*
I will take pictures when it all gets here.
Now we have to decide what the hell to do with the old stuff.

Wow! I'd be a happy camper too. My sister just got a new flat screen tv. I told her I was just a little upset that she waited until AFTER I spent a week at her house to get it. *grin*
Our rec room tv is about 16 years old and needs to be replaced soon. Dave is scoping out it's replacement. Thankfully, the one that came with the cottage is old but still has a great picture. It's a big console model and we were shocked that it even worked when they left it behind.

Wow! You really shop when you shop! I love leather. The merlot chairs and dark brown sofa sound perfect.
Like everyone else I am gellus of the 42" flat screen. Tom and I want one of those but we are waiting until the whole hi-def thing shakes out a bit more. Tom is convinced that there is going to be huge technology jump in TVs in about a year and a half and he wants to wait for that. Plus our 36" TV is still fairly new so we are not suffering, lol.
Hey, I recorded a bunch of Little People Big World episodes this past weekend! They had a little run on them, so I have maybe 10-12 shows on DVR? How long has the show been on?

btw - I'm a bit confused. Why would you be saving to get carpet in October when you are married to the Carpet Queen?
We'll have the carpet for free. But we should have done it before moving the furniture in. Because now we will have to move the furniture in, this weekend, then move it out when we carpet and then move it back in after we carpet again. we should have given ourselves time to order the carpet and have it put in before they delivered the new furniture.
And one project has led to another. Now, I have taken on painting the living room between now and Friday.
