Decent Garage Sale

We had our citywide garage sale yesterday & it went well. For me, having a garage sale isn't about the money. It's about being lazy. Too lazy to take my crap to the dump or Salvation Army. So if people want to come to my house and give me money to haul off my crap? Woo Hoo for me. Luckily a lot of my larger items got hauled off & now my garage has a lot more room.
That aside, we had a pretty good day. My next door neighbors had the setup. They had the radio going and there were about 6 of them over there so it was like a party. We spent a large part of the day laughing and whooping it up.
At the end of the day we all packed it up and then our other neighbor came over for dinner and we just sorta hung out for awhile until she went home.
Heh, I noticed that next door was selling an onion bloom maker. I have always wanted one of those but Michelle said I didn't need it and I couldn't buy it. At the end of the day we (the neighbors and us) told each other to take anything that was left that we may have wanted because it obviously wasn't selling anyhow. Guess what I got. *big grin*. You got it, an onion bloom maker. I may never use it but the important thing is that I have it. :)

I think today would be a good day to use it. It's football Sunday.

*growls*

I'm so very excited. And I just saw that Joe Buck has replaced James Brown on Fox. I love Joe Buck. And Howie Long. I probably love Howie more.

I'm very mixed about broadcast football this year. My momentum may switch from Monday Night Football to Sunday night football. I hate the ESPN crew and I love Al Michales and John Madden in the booth. I also hate the idea of broadcasting two Monday night games. Most of the east coast won't be up for the second game and I think that's a shame.
Boo for MNF switching to ESPN and boo to MNF for making it two games instead of one.
As much as I hate the Raiders, I do love me some John Madden and I am also a Howie Long fan.
Now, I better take a shower and run to the mall before my football day begins.

Is it wrong that I'm rooting for the Giants? I have to love the Giants. Go Plax! Go Lavar! My two football boyfriends don't play for my two favorite teams anymore. *le sigh*

I should have a garage sale. *grin* I don't have a garage though. hmmm.

I have a recipe that makes the bloomin' onion taste almost like the TGI Friday's bloomin onion.

It is very wrong to root for the Giants. They are in the same division as the Skins; therefore, it is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Unless they're playing the Cowboys. Then you can root for the Giants. Unless them beating the Giants knocks the Skins out of the playoffs.

I didn't realize it was two games every Monday. I don't know how I like it yet. I'm sure I won't.

Crikey, you got yourself a bloomin' onion maker! Cool beans.
:-)

We had a garage sale last month and did great. I got rid of all the large items. Unfortunately, I got rid of our dining room set and now we have to eat our meals at the breakfast nook table.

What a terrific idea to have a city wide garage sale.

Who the heck are the Giants?

Too much football talk in here. I don't understand 3/4 of what y'all are talking about LOL.
