All of my neighbors watch AI

How do I know? Beacuse after the loud KABOOM SNAP, CRACKLE, POP,ZTTTTTTT, we all went outside. It appears that the power pole in front of my house exploded and half the town lost power. So there we were, all the neighbors, nestled outside, getting to know each other.
It seems that we all had the same concern. Would power be back on before American Idol came on. *grin*
Sadly, it did come back on but the guys sucked rotten apricots last night.

New rules at work: No sitting in the warehouse on breaks and lunch. No playing the radio in the warehouse. No more paper cups for our coffee, must be cheap 1/2 oz styrofoam cups. I've done shots larger than these things. *rolls eyes*

OMG. No radio?! WTF?

One year, our sales were down. We were allowed ONE 16 oz styrofoam cup per day. If you lost it or threw it away, no more until the next day. At one point, I swore they were going to count out squares of toilet paper.

Chris Richardson is so cute. *snicker*

I would kill people if I had to go without my radio. Seriously. Kill them.

Why don't you all just bring mugs to work? *takes drink of tainted coffee from Hard Rock Cafe mug that I brought from home to drink coffee from every day instead of using paper cups*

If she ever tells me that I can't have my radio, I will hurl it at her like it was a 5 lb can of coffee.
Some people bring mugs. Heh, I have about 5 mugs in my desk. For some reason, I prefer the paper cups at work. Not sure why.

What about hand-cart races? Can you have hand-cart races in the warehouse?

I'll bet the next rule will be something about what color shirts you should be wearing each day.

I didn't see AI last night. I had to work.

I'm not a radio at work girl, but in the warehouse? I think it would be nice.

I know why you don't use your mug. You'd have to wash it. I use a mug, but hate washing it out every morning (I never remember to do it during the day). I use my TEXAS mug. :-)

Oooh, I have some good work news. The Dean's new assistant is apparently flamboyant man! Considering this school is full up uptight women, I'm quite excited we'll have a fun, intelligent man on board (he has a master's degree, but says he enjoys his hobbies too much to have a really complex career). I figure he'll either be really annoying or a ton of fun. I'm leaning towards fun.

LOL. Kim busted me. I'm lazy. At home I just put the mug in the washer. Here, I really would have to clean it.
Yay for gay men at work. We had a boy in our house the other night. I real live boy in our lesbian house. He's gay though. On the outside he looks like a straight guy but as soon as he talks the gaydar hits new highs. *snort*

Blake was good. Me like Blake.

I don't drink coffee, but I think it's crazy for them to tell you what size cup you can drink it out of. *boggle*
I have my trusty water bottle that I fill up from our cooler all day. I would go nuts if I couldn't have my water.

Boo is funny. Seriously, though can you have hand-cart races?

What is happening when we can no longer enjoy work?

I missed Idol also. I only saw the recap. I'm losing interest because we already know who will win - well between 2-3 females.
I miss the Ann Margaret look-alike girl. She was hot!

I hate water. I only drink it in between cups of coffee because I know I'm supposed to.

As for the handcart races. This is a real iffy area for me and here is why. I say go for it. It's fun. Do it. But that is on a personal level. The problem is, I am the Site Safety Manager and so it is my job to tell the guys that they can't have the races. I have reminded them that I leave at 2pm and once I am clocked out, I can't tell them what to do. *grin*

Site Safety Manager? Is that anything like a hall monitor? Do you wear a sash that has "Safety Manager" on it? Do you have a badge?

*smooch*

*kicks Arkie* I had a feeling some smart ass would comment on the site safety manager thing. But I admit that I laughed out loud at you calling me a hall monitor. *snort*
