American Idol

If you are looking for a professional type of review, you need to see Glow. The views posted here are just my own and I claim to have NO skills when it comes to writing reviews.
So here, you will just get a big HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!
Those women belted out some tunes last night. Many were forgettable. But Melinda and Lakisha? Those two brought chills to my entire body. Lakisha even had a tear in my eye by the time she was finished. I yelled at the tv "I DO love you, Lakisha". She got a three person standing Ovation in my house last night. Melinda was a very close second and there were a couple of more that were awesome as well. But I am so into Melinda and Lakisha that I can't remember anyone else's names right now.
Aside from there spectacular talent, these two women are probably also the two most humble women to ever grace AI. To me, I love to see humble onn AI. I love confidence but their dose of humble is just wowing me right now.
I had very little hopes for this season. Especially after the men sang (or should I say, took the stage). But these two women will keep me hooked this season.
Go Melinda and go Lakisha. I am rooting for ou all the way. Applause.

I knew I should have watched. Oh, wait. We didn't even turn the TV on last night. I missed AI and Lost. The horror!

Holy hell!! I couldn't even believe what I was hearing when Lakisha sang. I kept thinking "This is her week ONE performance???!! It was more like a final 3 performance. Blew me right away. And Carey, you are right on the money with the humbleness. SOOOOO refreshing after seeing the attitudes of Paris and Brenna from last season.

Unfortunately, Antonella is "Vote For The Worst" pick for this week. According to Dial Idol, she received the second most amount of votes which an absolute travesty given Melinda's performance.

I should have clarified. I DESPISE Antonella. The reason I said 'unfortunately' is that because she is Vote for the Worst's pick, she will stay around longer than she deserves, similar to Chicken Little from last season. She got the second most votes for her performance last night. That's a joke!! She was horrific!!

Ohhh, okay. And I forgot. VFTW is the one where they vote for the worst in order to keep them around, right? I don't like that very much.

Is she the backup singer? Cause I caught her last night. That was the only one I saw and I really like her.

I still don't really dig this part either. I like when they get down to the final 12.

I love Melinda and I love LaKisha. Love love love.

For the same reasons, too. They're so humble and grounded. They know they can sing, but they also know that they haven't made it on their own and are using the show to catapult to fame. I hope they both do, regardless of the season's outcome.

Love them.

(hi bravie!)

I'm always conflicted on the great ones. I want them to win because I know how it would make them feel. On the other hand, I don't want them to win because singers like these two, I think can achieve so much more without AI.

Lakisha was fanfuckingtastic. I love that song and when it's sung well, I cry. Not get a tear in my eye. I cry. And? I cried. Good for her. Awesome.

I wanted to watch this whole season, but I can't keep up with the multiple days per week it's on. Thus, I'll end up catching it in the final four or so. Oh well, so be it.

YOu know instead of watching reality shows maybe you should invest in your own reality.

I knew you would like them too. Ah the radish...so under-appreciated.

I am ver uimpressed with how quick you link people and how you slide them in the correct alphabetical order. You are not so blonde there.

By the way, in answer to your age old question (which started this blog, right?), it is BLOND according to spell check, not blonde. :D

My brunette moment: I actually did know the correct spelling. I found out years ago when I went to a Madonna concert. It was the Blond Ambition tour and she spelled it "blond". I thought her t-shirt makers were idiots. I then found out that I was the idiot because that was the correct spelling. And yet I continue to spell it "blonde" a lot of the times.

I prefer to use blonde too! I think it looks cooler that way.
