I'm in massive amounts of pain.
I need a painkiller or muscle relaxer of the highest power right now.
We had Michelle's nerd herd here last night for poker. I walked away ahead by $35. Woo Hoo.
Anyhow, towards the end of the night my lower back was aching A LOT. But I figured it was just from sitting at a card table in those card table chairs all night and as soon as I stretched it would stop hurting. Nope. We went to bed around 1:30 and I couldn't get comfortable. I stretched out, that hurt, I went on my right side, that hurt, I went on my left side, that hurt, I even layed on my stomach and that hurt the worst. Finally around 3:30am I got out of bed and took an 800 Motrin. Those usually knock out any pain for me. Nope.
It hurts to lay down, it hurts to stand up, it hurts to sit back. The only time it doesn't hurt is when I am sitting up and leaning forward a little bit. This is not conducive to resting or relaxing or sleeping.
This pain is all around my mid section except in my stomach area. That doesn't hurt. I hate hate hate going to the hospital but if this pain doesn't subside I may have Michelle take me. I can't ever remember having these kinds of back pains before. I shouldn't take another 800 Motrin yet for at least another 3 hours but I may take one anyhow. I think the first one helped a tiny bit. OWWWWWIE. *pout*

Have you tried a heating pad? It might give you some relief. If not, maybe you should get to the hospital. *back rub*
My back and neck are killing me at the moment. We went to the cottage this afternoon to clean the driveway. It hasn't been done since New Year's. There was a 5 foot high snowbank at the road that was 11 feet wide and 8 feet deep. Dave ran the snowblower and I broke it up with a shovel because it was so hard packed.
I also cleared the deck of about 4 feet of snow. *groan* I was out of breath just trying to walk in to the cottage through the deep snow. Nothing like a little Sunday afternoon exercise.
Monsty and vols were right. And the baby's first pictures are up on my blog.
Yikes. Any better yet, Sunshine? hot bath. back rub with Bengay. heating pad. I am hoping it is better by now.

This sounds like the pain I had back in Jan. When I went to the Dr. it was Kidney stones. My back has never hurt like that. Nothing was comfortable.
They give you a filter to pee in. It's kinda funny...but hurts like hell.

Hope you are feeling better, Carey, and I hope it's not kidney stones. DH gets back and other mysterious pains whenever he has kidney stones. I've seen a couple of the stones he has passed. Such tiny little grains of calcium (?) to cause such a big pain!

I never passed mine, they relodged without passing. And really, they can stay where ever they are, because the nurse told me sometimes passing them can be worse than childbirth.
I have no idea how to get rid of them without going to the Dr. You pass them or they relodge is all I know.
