New TV
Well here is the new TV. *big grin* I'm still adjusting to the minor distortion in the picture that these have. But man o man can you tell the difference when a show is being broadcast in HDTV. Holy Cow. Michelle was watching some deep sea diving show this morning just because it was in HDTV. She said she felt like she was staring into a fish tank on our wall.
Yes, that is a very weird chair that we have on the left. There is a story behind the chair that I'll tell another time. But warning to all of you who enter my home: You WILL have your picture taken in THE chair.
We still have to mount the surround sound. Best Buy connected it but they don't install the external speakers. I think we'll do that later today. We also need to get a strip of something to hide the power cord hanging from the tv. They were able to put all the cable cords etc into the wall but it's against the law to string the power cord through the wall. We may eventually have an electrician come and install a plug behind the tv. Minor details.
Oh, and the show on the tv is JAWS II or III or IV.

Oh, lucky you.
I want to see HDTV. Humpf. I didn't know HD did any swimming though. I would have thought it would just be a bunch of sheep and maybe some hairy naked guys.
Forget the tv, I'm lusting after those built in bookcases. *drool* We looked at one house from the 1940s that had the most beautiful built-ins in the living and dining room. I wanted that house soooo bad. Too bad the 1st story ceiling/2nd story floor was incredibly sloped and drooping in some places.
DH, on the other hand is turning a little green with jealousy looking at your tv.
BTW I'm also amused by the two laptops. That's a common scene in our living room too.
I love you for having a JAWS movie on. That is all.
Very cool! I hear with HDTV you can see zits and stuff on the beautiful people's faces (that they pay tons of money to have make up artists hide). *grin*
Can't wait to have my picture taken in the chair. *hops*

Luna, don't get too excited about the bookcases. They are actually DVD cases (two of them side by side) that we bought at IKEA and installed ourselves. :)
I also giggled at the dueling laptops after I looked at the pic. LOL. RTVW on mine and Party Poker on hers.
Zombs, one or another of the JAWS movies is watched in our house almost weekly. When there is nothing else on we can always watch certain movies over and over again.
Oh yes, Augie, you most certainly will have your picture taken in the chair.

Party at my house on Wednesday. I have foot stools, finger food and enough space for us all to watch Jessica Simpson. *grin*

Boy George? *snort* No. It's an autographed picture of Joan Jett. I guess the glare sort of makes it look like Boy George though. LOL
The frame on the left is a bouquet of flowers, a ticket stub and an artists card for No Doubt. We had 2nd row tickets to see them a few years ago and Gwen Stefani threw out a bouquet of flowers. Michelle caught part of them so we dried them and had them framed with our tickets stub and the artist card.
I've sat in the chair! :P

Sunday football in HDTV is going to be the highlight of my year. I can not wait.
We don't have one of those plasma dooflickies but I can say that HD football is waaaaaaaaay good. *grin*
Oh. We watch strange things because they're on the HD channels too.

I did find myself watching B list movies this weekend too. Just ebcause they were HD.

And that TV is way too far away from any visible seating (other than the weird chair). If we watch it when I'm there, I'll be sitting in the red chair to see it. *grin*
I was thinking the same thing, Glow. It looks really far away from any seating. Maybe she's going to put her new recliners right in front of the tv. We'll sit there and be like Chandler and Joey watching her fancy tv. *grin*

I'm so coming out there. Dbf and I had one of our huge arguments. If he keeps it up maybe I'll move in with you and Michelle in my favorite city and watch your TV all day. And I'm not shy about inviting myself.
