Per Breezy's request

A brief update.
Hmmmm, let's see, what's been going on and keeping me so busy?
Thursday afternoon I came down with the bird flu. 102 fever, congested chest and a face full of snot. Because of the flu, I ended up missing out on watching the 49ers lose in person. I'm sure there will be others.

Monsty told me the gender of her baby today. But I don't care how many of you email me, I won't tell.

Last week, Michelle decided that NOW is the time to redo the surface of our kitchen cabinets. So my kitchen now has no cabinet doors. None. All of my plates, cups, glasses, pots, pans, Tupperware, etc. are fully exposed. It bothers Michelle because it makes the kitchen look cluttered. It bothers me because it poses a hazard should we have an earthquake.

Michelle and I are always in the same book. Never on the same page.

Speaking of; Last night Michelle sprung on me that she would also like to recarpet the entire house.

Did I metion that I am having company stay at my house in exactly one month? Michelle swears she can get it all done by then. Did I also mention that she is putting together a 40th birthday party for me? Which is the purpose of my company. Somehow, she is able to pull of these kinds of tasks. She's good like that.

Work has been insane. A project should have been done two weeks ago is still not finished. I have a new strong deadline of a week and a half to finish. Hmmm, maybe I should put Michelle on it. Then it would get done.

My Mistress Dell is on her way to Kentucky or Kansas or Tennessee or, shit I can't remember where but she is on her way to being fixed. Day two without my computer. So far I have survived.

One of the above statements is not true.

HELP

Who knows how to remove a hard drive from a computer? I need to remove mine before sending the computer back to Dell. But I have no idea how. Or even where it is. Anybody know where it is or how I remove it?

Crossing the line AKA Shakes the Fuckwad Clown

Normally, Shakes the fuckwad Clown doesn't bother me. Like I said in a thread on OT, he is just desparate because he is a washed up second rate ex-reality show contestant whose 15 minutes ran out long ago. And though he used to be feared, he is now just a joke. Newbies try to get flamed by him, oldies are bored by him. He really is a joke and I almost feel sorry for how pathetic he is.
But this time he crossed the line. In the sports forum, he called Tim a CUNT and he called Pene and Pepe DEAF AND DUMB. It's one thing to flame but this just goes so far over the line for me and for a few others who I have discussed it with.
After talking with Monsty, we are hoping that as old time posters, we can pull together and create our own ban on Shakes the fuckwad Clown. It is our hope that EVERYBODY will just ignore the fuckwad clown. Don't post to any of his threads. Don't respond to any of his posts.
It used to be funny but calling someone, who did not deserve it, a cunt? and telling someone who is deaf that he is deaf and dumb? Way over the line.
If you don't want to take part in the boycott of Shakes the fuckwad, it's understandable. But hopefully some of you will. Because those two personal attacks were far and above crossing any line. IMHO.

Monday randoms

I hope you had a great birthday, Jen.

The 49ers won. Against one of our rival teams. WOOT!!!

I didn't do well in my picks. With or without the point spread. :(

But the Raiders lost. That's always a WOOT in my book.

I have a huge project at work this week. I should have done it last week but I'm not looking forward to it and I put it off. Now it's crunch time. Yuck.

I bought 3 new pair of jeans which were badly needed. I have a bad habit of tucking my left leg under my ass when I sit and as a result it wears holes in the right butt cheek of my pants.

I'm going to the 49er game this coming Sunday. I have regular seats but the guy who has the VIP box told me to call him when I get there and he will see how full the box is. If it's not full, he said he will let me and Michelle watch the game from there. WOOT.

I won't be around much this week. So be nice and play fair.

Decent Garage Sale

We had our citywide garage sale yesterday & it went well. For me, having a garage sale isn't about the money. It's about being lazy. Too lazy to take my crap to the dump or Salvation Army. So if people want to come to my house and give me money to haul off my crap? Woo Hoo for me. Luckily a lot of my larger items got hauled off & now my garage has a lot more room.
That aside, we had a pretty good day. My next door neighbors had the setup. They had the radio going and there were about 6 of them over there so it was like a party. We spent a large part of the day laughing and whooping it up.
At the end of the day we all packed it up and then our other neighbor came over for dinner and we just sorta hung out for awhile until she went home.
Heh, I noticed that next door was selling an onion bloom maker. I have always wanted one of those but Michelle said I didn't need it and I couldn't buy it. At the end of the day we (the neighbors and us) told each other to take anything that was left that we may have wanted because it obviously wasn't selling anyhow. Guess what I got. *big grin*. You got it, an onion bloom maker. I may never use it but the important thing is that I have it. :)

Grrrrrrrrr

What an afternoon. Let me backstory this.
There is a new development being built right across the street from me. They have been known on ocassion to get to work at 5:00 and 6:00am. They think it is a good idea to wake up the neighborhood with their noise. We think, not so much. So this morning was the fourth call I have made to the forman of the company. Very nice man. He says he is doing all that he can to stop their outside contractors from getting there so early. In my opinion he is not doing enough because they still do it from time to time. This morning it was 5:45am when they started with the heavy equipment.
When I was leaving for work, I approached the guy nicely and explained the noise laws, to which he shrugged and said "Oh well, what are you going to do". Without going into all the details, he and I ended up in a very heated discussion. Very heated. By the time I called the cops to complain, they had already received two calls.
Believe it or not, I can be very reasonable when I choose to be. But once I am blown off or treated as a joke, the gloves come off.
This afternoon I have been to the police department and the city planning commission's office and I have filed formal complaints. I now know the planning commissioner very well. :)
They do have records of our prior complaints but now that I have been there in person, they are going to approach this in a much more aggressive manner. We have exchanged names and numbers and he said he is going to take care of this. He is going to start enforcing fines against them and if it gets super ugly he is willing to give them a stop building order. Obviously not just because of me. He has had a lot of problems with this company and was very happy that I was getting involved.
I am pretty happy with how the afternoon went but what a pain in the ass for me to have to do just to have peace and quiet in my neighborhood.
*flexes muscles* *grin*
Have a good weekend.

I can not wait

I can't wait for Big Brother to be over. Just because of the fucking morons that it brings out on the boards. It is getting more and more difficult for me to post without pissing off our mods and without getting banned. If I make it through the next week without getting banned it will be a minor miracle. I swear the IQ of the newbies in that forum must be a collective 43 and that is being generous. Please BB Gods, get me through the next week without going completely Amtrak on these fucking idiots.

No more pics

They were messing up my template.

BEST.NIGHT.EVER

I do not know how I can possible put last night into words. I really don't. So all I can do is just describe the events and let you figure out how excited I was and still am. I think my heart is still beating at double speed though. And I will probably leave out some of the minor details just because this entry could be 14 pages long if I don't. And it may end up that long.
Shit, there is also a back story to the guy I got tickets from. In short, he is a kicker and he plays semi pro football for a team called The Lawmen. He also has some connections with the 49ers.
Also, because I don't have much time this morning, the pictures will be in another post, later.

OK...We get to the stadium and we have preffered parking. The only cars parked closer to the VIP entrance are the player's cars. We were going to sit in the parking lot and drink a few beers but then Mike (the guy who provided the suite) pulled up and told us the suite was stocked with food and drinks so let's head up there. We walk through the entrance where the players enter the stadium and we go up to the suite. I'm in heaven because the view is just awesome. The room is heated and stocked and it has nice theater chairs and our chairs are right up front along the window. This suite holds 20 people and we had front row. I start to get settled, have a beer, eat weiner (it's stocked with big wieners, WOO HOO) and I get ready to sit down. In comes this lady who hands us these passes and she says to Mike "How would you like to go down on the field?" This is where I stood with my jaw open, eyes wide and perhaps a little dribble of pee running down my leg.
We get down on the field and we are told that as long as we stay on this side of the white chalk mark on the field, we can wander wherever we want just as long as we all meet up and are off the field at least 15 minutes before the game. So wander I did. At first I just stood there, gazing all around, taking it all in. Staring into the stands at the little people. *grin* Then Jodi (Mike's wife) whacks me and says "come on girl, let's make sure you get all that you can out of this" and she grabs my camera and took picture of me down on the field. *insert picture of me on field*
I asked the tour lady if I could pull some of the grass to keep. She laughed and told me that I could. So I plucked me some grass and shoved it in my pocket. *dork grin*. We start walking and now we are at the visitor's bench. It's pretty cool to see that close up. The Gatorade jugs, the workout bikes, the bench, the oxygen tanks, the media stuff, the tarp. Cool stuff. We walk a little more and now we are at the end zone. I BEG the security guy if I can take a picture touching the goal post. He said we aren't supposed to but I begged enough that we could do it if we did it real fast and didn't get hit by any of the players. *snort* *insert picture of me HUGGING the goal post* *insert various picture of players that I took while standing in the end zone*
We keep walking and now we are on the sidelines of MY team. The coaches are there, players are there, the media. *insert pictures of the team stretching* *insert pictures of how close I was to the bench* These guys are fricken huge. HUGE. You have no idea.
Then, I hear "Are you Carey". *gasp*. I turn around and it is an old friend of mine from way back. I forgot that he is friends with lots of football players and as it turns out, he is on the sidelines for every home game. Jim (the other person that I went to the game with) said he was pretty shocked and impressed that we were on the field and somebody knew me. *snort*. Anyhow, we chatted for awhile and then I wanted to move on and continue taking it all in. Again, I just stood down there and looked all around. I couldn't believe where I was. Down on the field, during warmups, people in the stands, the lights all aglow, people staring at us wondering who we were. It was just fucking unfuckingbelievable. UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE. I never wanted to leave. But it was time to leave the field so we kept walking around. The timing was great. The players were heading off the field into the lockerroom, ready to come out through the big infaltable helmut that is our tunnel. There they were, all the players. WHEEEEE. *insert pictures*. I got to shake hands with and meet a couple of the alumni. *insert pictures*.
As we leave the field and had just passed Steve Bono (ex QB) and I was all ooglie and stuff and then I got to shake hands with another legend *insert picture* and then we headed up to the elevator. Who walks up but Steve Bono and his family. He was standing right next to me at the elevator. Like a dork, I just stood there and gazed up at him. He said "Hi, how are you?" and with a big huge smile I said something like "argh urgh ack gah hi fine thanks how are you" I'm quite the schmoozer aren't I? That dude is tall. From where I was standing, which was right next to him, he was about 11 feet tall. Then it was time to go. I'm pretty sure that I made quite an impression on him though. He will probably remember me forever. *giggle* *insert picture*
Jim said that in all the time he has known me that he has never seen me speechless and has never seen such a look of happiness on my face.
anyhow, back up to the suite. We get situated again and start to relax and in comes Eric Wright. He is signing autographs and letting us take pictures. *insert picture*. Have I mentioned how big these guys are? Holy shit. A few minutes go by and in walk some of the cheerleaders. Also signing pictures and taking pictures. *insert picture*
The suites are cool. If you want garlic fries or a burger or a t-shirt or an anything, you call on the phone and they take your order and deliver it to you. You don't even have to leave your seat. How cool is that?
The game itself was secondary to all of the peripherals. I had no hope of winning this game and quite honestly, I didn't even care. This was about an experience of a lifetime for me. BUT!!!! We ended up winning the game. Just icing on the cake. The cool thing about sitting with Mike is that he knows all about football and lots of inside stuff. So he would point out a player and then give me all these stats and tell me their chances of making the team and his point on whether they would end up being a star. Way cool to have that going on while I watched my team win.
All in all, it was one of the best nights of my entire life. One I will never forget for the rest of my life. I just don't think I could ever put into words what last night was to me. *deep happy sigh*
The only thing that made last night not perfect was Michelle not being there to experience it with me. But yes, I did call her when I was down on the field so that I could share my happiness with her. Oh, um, yeah. There was just one minor little bathroom incident. I was rushing because I wanted to get back to the game. And in doing so, I ended up zipping my jersey in my pants. And zipping it so that the jersey was sticking out of my fly and it looked as if I was displaying my excitement. IYKWIM. *giggle* Luckily, I noticed this before leaving the stall. Unluckily, it took me about 5 minutes to be able to jiggle the zipper so that it would release my shirt. When I got back to the suite, they asked me what took so long and they all got a great laugh when I told them what had happened. *snort*
What an absolute almost perfect night for me. My heart is still racing and I still have the biggest smile on my face. I have no idea how I could ever repay Mike and Jodi and Jim for the unforgettable night and unforgettable experience that I had. Just fucking magnificent. *happy sigh*
Now I'm off to take a shower because we are headed off to the flea market. *grin*
*smooches to everyone*
