Need Advice

Are we just being asshole neighbors?
Backstory. When we bought our townhouse (attached on one side) we had nice neighbors. They had to move because the unit was sold. In moved two lesbians and their son. We were excited to have gay neighbors. Stop the music. We didn't know that they were crack addicts who were up all night and complete slobs. They would call us at all times asking for favors. Like, would we come over at midnight on a work night to help pick up their friend who was passed out on the floor. Um, no. When they finally moved, so did the rats. Temporarily.
Then in moved two single guys. And their two 100lb dogs. Who shit all the time (the dogs) out on the front patio. Leaving a stench by our front door and flies. They were also marble fabricators and electric guitar players. Both of which they did in the living room which is attached to our house. Imagine the noise. We nicely approached them about the noise, oh, and the mess. Not to mention the mess in our ajoining carport. Long story short, they were homophobic and we ended up having to get restraining orders against them and they finally ended up moving.
Then we got a nice family. Mom, Dad, three kids all under age 10 and their three pitbulls. Did I mention that the only yard there is, is a 12 by 14 cement patio? Imagine the mess and the noise. He wal also an ultimate cage fighter who practiced, you guessed it, in the attached living room. Basically, again, no peace and quiet around our house. They eventually were evicted after one of the pits bit a neighbors dog.
Next, and the current tenants, were three girls. Two sisters and their cousin. Nice people. Not the cleanest of people though.
We like to take pride in where we live and we keep everything up all nice and neat. Ask Glow and Jen. They've been here.
Anyhow, the three soon turned into 5 which then ended up being 7 people living next door. Still, very nice people.
Last night four more people showed up. They were using my driveway as a basketball court. I have no hoop. But they were shooting towards my balcony. Which is attached to my very expensive, sliding glass door. They were also using my very white garage door as something to bounce their ball off of. *sigh* Now my garage has black ball marks all over it.
Michelle called earlier and said that yet four more people have showed up. I'm guessing for the four day weekend. So there are about 16 or so of them there now.
That's fine. I have no problem with that. When I got home today, I tried to pull up into my carport but couldn't because the kids toys were spread all about. I just wanted to get home and crawl onto the couch because I don't feel well. I left my car parked in the driveway.
I am hoping the will deter them from using my driveway as their playground.
Am I an asshole for not wanting them to throw the ball against my garage door. And to worry about my car being dented in the carport. and about them tossing the ball onto my side of the building?
Normally, I don't give a shit and I would say something. But based on my history with neighbors, I really don't want to rock the boat with them.
so what do I do. suck it up and let them dirty up my house and possibly dent my car? Or do I try to nicely approach them and ask them to get the fuck off of my property? Perhaps in a friendlier fashion. Have people just lost all respect for other people's possesions and I should just deal with it? *sigh* I really just want to live quietly in my little house and not be bothered.

Holy crap am I tired

Well, my weekend with Glowie and Jen has unfortunately come to an end. I had to drop them off at the airport today. :(
Michelle and I had a great time with them this weekend. I'll give an abridged version so that Jen and Glow can give all the dirty details. *evil grin*
I posted about Friday night so i will pick up from there.
Saturday morning we got up and went into San Francisco. I took them on a sightseeing adventure there. We went on a Bay cruise and in San Francisan style it was foggy and windy. The cruise was a lot of fun. I forget how much SF has to offer so it's good for me to do these things again. We did the wharf and pier 39 and the bay cruise and then just browsed the stores and went to eat at Johnny rockets. That all took up a great part of the day. After that, we went to a party at Michelle's aunt's house and had a few drinks and stole some meat and then on to our next stop.
From there, we met up with another blogger for dinner before heading up to the Castro. We got to meet MTW. *grin* MTW is a great guy. Outgoing and friendly easy to talk to. He's exactly what you see on his blog. Such a generous guy. He drinks icky dark beer that tastes like poopoo but otherwise we had a great time with him. I'm so glad that we got to meet him this weekend and that he got to be a part of Jen and Glow's visit.
From there we went up to the Castro. *giggle* Jen and Glow got to meet my brother and his friends. The Castro is wild on Pink Party night. Nekkidness and booze is about the best way to sum it up. We just hung out with the masses and partied our asses off that night. I think Glowie and Jen were a little blown away by the amount of people in this small area and by the party itself. Both seemed to have a really good time and they both survived.
We got home very late and didn't get to bed until around 3 or 4 in the morning. we had to be up the next day at 7:30. Yikes. But we were just having so much fun laughing and talking and being silly as we could be. According to Jen, my furniture floats in the air. *snort*
Sunday morning we got up and went to the parade and the parade celebration. I had so much fun watching them enjoy themselves and watching them watch the people. I can't begin to describe the crowd at Pride celebration. Pretty, ugly, fat, thin, nekkid, clothed, you name it.
We spent the day drinking and partying and whooping it up. Totally enjoying the atmosphere. We got to spend the day partying with Ginger and Mcatt as well. We also got to meet JayneB, Mcatt's friend. I think we may have scared her a bit.
Like I said, I'm not giving tons of details about the events because I want to read it from their perspectives. and want them to be able to describe the events.
I will just say that I had a wonderful time with my two wonderful friends being here and I already miss them. It's so great when you can get together with great friends and have a spectacular time. I missed them before they even left.
I will post some pictures later. I need to get them approved before I do so.
I look forward to them getting home and posting in their blogs and seeing how they felt about everything. *sigh* I soooo miss my friends. More than I can express. :(

Crap, Blogger isn't letting me upload pics. I'll try again later.

Day 1

After picking up Jen and Glow from the airport, we cruised to the mall to the BM store. While Jen was purchasing her goods, the other 3 of us went and bought pretzels at Wetzel's Pretzels. I guess they don't have these on the east coast because Glow fell in love with them. So much so that she made her pretzel pose for a picture. I'm sure she will post pictures of it over the course of the next month and she will eventually call the pretzel her new pretend celebrity boyfriend.
We also went on a short tour of the town where I grew up. Then back to my house. We sat around and relaxed a bit before getting ready for dinner.
Then off to the city we went. Note to self: driving directions and walking direction in San Francisco are much different. What should have been a 10 minute walk ended up being about a half hour walk through the streets of SF. But finally we arrived at the restaurant. The Stinking Rose. It's a semi famous restaurant and it is ALL about garlic. :)
We had a special guest meet us there *waves to MM* and we had a great time. We found out that we were MM's first. We were as gentle as we could be on her but I still think we may have scared her a bit. There was all kinds of chit chat and giggling and laughing and yes, pictures too. I'll post those probably on Monday. Then we headed out looking for a bar. Did I mention that the restaurant is a block from our red light district? Needless to say, before we made it to a bar, we ran into an adult store. Poor MM. *giggle*. We in no way acted like adults. We all but played touch football with the things that we saw in the store. Some of those adult toys have the funniest names. Most of which I wouldn't dare put in print here. *innocent look*
After the adult store, we found a little brewpub and went and had a couple of more drinks. More giggling and chit chat ensued. By this time, we had to go to catch our train home because it was getting late.
The 5 of us said our goodbyes and gave our hugs and then went our separate ways. :( Parting is such sweet sorrow.
I really enjoyed meeting MM. (It's odd to call her MM now, after meeting in person). She is much quieter than I thought she would be but I have to admit that we can all be a bit intimidating. She's just the cutest little thing. Yes little. She is among the elite short group. *grin*. She had beautiful eyes and a great smile and was just as cute as could be. I'm hoping that we didn't scare her too much and that she will be willing to meet up with us again sometime soon. Again, I'll be posting pictures probably on Monday.
*smooches* to our Friday night group. I had a wonderful time.
Currently, everybody in my house is fast asleep. I'll let them sleep in a little longer and then I'll be getting them up for a day of sightseeing. I plan on wearing them out this weekend.
Hope you're all having a good weekend. *smooch*

Woo Hoo

I'm going to see Melissa Etheridge tonight. *hops*
We had tickets to her last tour but it got canceled because of her breast cancer. Soooo glad that she is okay and back out on tour. Nobody can put on a show like Melissa. NOBODY. And I have been to hundreds if not thousands of concerts.
She interacts with her audience, she connects with them, she plays for them, she appreciates them. So much fun and I'm glad to get to see her again tonight. *hops*

Knockers' fans buy her cakes

I've been reading the Meme that is circling out there and they are cracking me up. I wasn't really going to do one but I got bored and I did. *snort*
I found out some very interesting things.

I did it for the names "Bravie", "Carey" and "Knockers". I'm not sure which one cracked me up more.

Bravie Needs: Not one damn thing. 262 Google entries and not one said "Bravie needs".

Carey Needs:
1. More sex partners (Michelle might not appreciate that)
2. A Bib (probably related to #1)
3. A better Brazilian (hell yeah if I'm gonna be having all that sex)
4. To call her stylist (duh)
5. A plucky female sidekick *snort*

Knockers Needs:

1. Spring (huh?, I like summer)
2. A Wife (I got me one of those)
3-560,000 were related to porn
560,001. (not a need but this is my favorite) Knockers' fans buy her all kinds of cakes, which she keeps in a shoe rack so that she can throw some against the wall whenever she needs to.

The truth about Boston

First off, that cone that Monsty mentioned did not look at me funny. It kicked me in the shin. Any reasonable Lesbian Sidekick would have lost their cool. And she isn't kidding about putting down the hanky. As a matter of fact, Miss Monsty upper crust, put a hanky down everywhere that she sat. She even brought more than one so that she could line the public toilets with them.
I have never seen anyone bring their fine linen napkins complete with napkin rings to a cafe until I met Monsty. She even brought mongrammed linen. See the picture? I have proof. So she can deny deny deny, all she wants.
We then walked the streets of Boston in search of every Starbucks in town. Funny how in 7 of the ones we went to, Monsty's picture was up and labled "Customer of the month". They also had the Monsty special in her honor. That? is why I ordered the leprechaun latte.
And yes, we did see a Chinese midget. He was working on the side of the road near Fenway and we both deeply regret not getting his picture. *snort*
I'm not even going to address her lies about me ignoring Allstah. How could I ignore him when she kept leaving him alone with me while she went to the restroom to check her hair. *rolls eyes* She kids not about Brushie. I met Brushie. I was allowed to smell Brushie but not touch. Some people.
It was at yet another Starbucks that I got to meet Mr. Monstah. Monsty introduced me by saying "Mr Monsty, this is my lsesbian sidekick, Carey" *snort* Mr. Monsty has a wonderfully playful smile and I liked him before he even got out of the car because he got annoyed with some moron who was blocking his parking space. He then told Monsty not to worry about Allstah because he was going to Home Depot and then going home to build coop for Allstah. He said that he would put Allstah in his mini wax jacket and let him play with Grove and Hoppy. Fine parenting if you ask me. Actually, it was at this Starbucks that one of my favorite moments occured. It was a moment of Mother/Child bonding that made me admire Monsty as a Mother. Both she and Allstah had beautifully blissful smiles on their faces.
We then drove back into Boston. We almost didn't make it there though because Monsty is a very unsafe driver. She sat through green lights (probably admiring their color and thinking that being a greenmonstah that the lights were inspired by her) she tried to rearend a couple of people, it was just unsafe driving by all standards. Once there, I insisted that she park the car so that we could walk. I had enough driving excitement already.
Note to peeps: One should always clear off old pictures that might be left on the camera from prior events. *blush* That's all I'm saying about that.
We then went into the heart of the North End. AKA Italian town. Monsty isn't kidding when she says that she "knows people". Everywhere we went, she mentioned her Uncle Vito and we got the best seats and service. But don't think that she doesn't have her lesbian side. At one coffee house she insisted, INSISTED on ordering for me. She was all tough and take charge and it was oddly attractive.
We then went to dinner where she once again mentioned Uncle Vito and his "people". And again, we got the best seat in the house, window seat. Personally, I enjoyed the meal but Monsty had an issue with me getting couscous instead of spaghetti-O's as a side dish. *rolls eyes*.
After dinner, we drove around and I got a wonderful tour from the Cambridge side. Boston has one of the most beautiful skylines I have ever seen in my entire life.
All kidding aside, Monsty was an absolute joy to be with. And what in reality was 11 hours, in my mind seemed like only 11 minutes. I didn't want the day to end because she was just so much fun to be with. I thought I loved Monsty before but after meeting her, my love for her just intensified by at least 100. She is everything that she is online but so much more and so much better. There is no doubt in my mind that I have a sistah for life in Monsty.
*smooches* to Monsty to being a part of and the reason behind one of the best days of my life.

Blogger isn't letting me post pictures at this time. *pout*

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Sunday I FINALLY get to meet my sistah Monsty. *hops*
I can not wait to give her the biggest sistah hug evah. evah, evah, evah.
I keep giggling like a schoolgirl everytime I think about it.

I'm also going to Fenway, Saturday night. My brother got tickets to the Red Sox game and I will wear my Red Sox shirt proudly. *waves to Monsty*<--she sent me the shirt.

Be jealous, be good. I'll hug her for all of you and I'm sure there will be pictures to post.
I really will be on the hunt for a Chinese midget chick who will take her picture with me.

Me and my Dad working the fair. We've both had better pictures taken of us but it was towards the end of our day and Colleen showed up with her camera. It's the only picture of just the two of us working at the fair. :)

Glad to be sitting

Holy heck do my feet hurt. We worked at the Arts and Wine festival today for my Dad. We were selling Brauts, chicken sausages, wieners and tri-tip sammiches. We did our shift from 1:30-6:00pm and spent most of that time on our feet. We are working it again tomorrow between 8:30am-1:30pm.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day today. We couldn't have asked for better weather. 80 degrees with a slight breeze.
My Dad is pretty much one of the Big men on campus in the Rotary Club and that's what we were working for. He and his best friend, Ollie, do all the cooking and me with some others collect the food and Michelle with some others sell and collect money. I enjoy helping my Dad out when it comes to his community service and politics and stuff and I know he appreciates that we help him. Even though we don't get to spend much quality time together during the fair, it's still very much a bonding thing. I get to help him out and his peers get to see his kid supporting him. So it's kind of nice.
But boy am I glad to be sitting down. I came home, took off the bra, peeled my stomach a bit, soaked my feet in the tub for a bit and then lathered them up like crazy with cream. And now I am sitting on my big fat ass ready to settle in with some mind numbing agents. *grin*
Then tomorrow will be back to work at the fair and then a bbq at my house with Colleen and her friend who is visiting from England.
Did I mention that in exactly one week, I will be in Boston. *hops*

Hope ya'll are having a good weekend.

Yuck

I'm peeling. And it itches. :(
