Hmmmm

I feel as if I should update. I also feel as if I have run out of things to say.
I've become boring. *shrug*

Augie wrote me a song.

I feel so special:

Bravie, the red butt Lesbian
Had a very pooty butt,
And if you ever smelled it,
You would even say it stunk.
All of the otherLesbians,
Used to laugh and spray their OUST.
They never let poor Bravie
Join in any indoor games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say...
Bravie with your poots so bright
Won't you light your farts tonight.
Then all the Lesbians loved her,
As they shouted out with glee...
Bravie the red buttLesbian
You'll go down in HIS---TOR---Y!!!!!

Mid week update

My job still sucks.
My 19 year old cat may need surgery for a reoccuring cyst on her face.
The diet has gotten a little better but still not losing as much weight as I want.
Kickboxing is still a pain in the ass but it burns 700 calories per hour. So soldier on, Little Bravie.
I am craving pizza. a big ole meat lovers, deep dish Chicago style pizza.
I got drunk and sang karaoke Saturday night. *snort* Poor, poor people.
Did I mention that I want a fucking pizza so bad. I want the entire thing. I do not want to share.
Sunday is going to suck ass without football.
This has all made me crabby and grumpy and that is why I am laying low for now.

Weekend Randoms

It doesn't have to be the weekend in order for me to post weekend randoms.

Kickboxing: Specifically, cardio kickboxing. It's going to kill me. 15 minutes into my first class, I was cussing and telling Michelle that I would never return. I had cramps and was already cranky so I'll give it another week. Unless it kills me first.

Dieting: I feel as if I am torturing myself and I'm not losing the weight that I should. I'm sticking to between 1200-1600 calories per day, doing at least 20-30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. Kickboxing just got added to that. Situps and pushups at least every other day. I've cut out a lot of fat and shitty food. If the weight doesn't start to come off faster I am going to do coffee enimas, 14 times a day.

Mexico: We are going in April. Thus the diet.

Organics brand food: I love the wheat bran cereal. I will continue to eat it even when I am not on a diet. I love it. mmm mmm good.

Snakes on a Sudoku. I got this book from my SS on OT. It is my new obsession.

Games and puzzles: I have submerged my brain into them lately. It keeps my mind busy and concentrated. It has been wonderful for me. A wonderful little escape from the world.

American Idol: If they continue to make fun of the mentally handicapped people, they will lose me as a loyal fan. I don't find it necessary to laugh at these people in order to be entertained. The disillusioned (sp) however are fair game.

Cold weather: if it doesn't leave the Bay Area soon, I am moving. Now I just need to find a place to move.

I'm thinking of having the word "POOT" tattoed on my ass.

Blood naturally? and Swami is my favorite.

That's a spam email that I got this morning. I have to admit that I was a little tempted to open it. But I didn't.

Swami looked for gay marriage cards. How sweet is that!!! Today, she is my favorite.

Dork Poll (aka, is Augie a dork)

Augie called me a dork. My response was "thank you, it takes one to know one". She claims that she is a lot of things but a dork is not one of them. As you can imagine, I spit coffee all over my monitor when she denied this.
So I am taking a poll. Do you think that Augie is a dork?

*SIGH*

Another downfall of being 40. For the past couple of days I have had this tickle in my nose. I would look, I would feel and yet there was nothing. Still, this tickle as if there was a feather in my nose was going on.
I went and did some serious research. Twisting and contorting my head in all different directions to get the light just right. *gasp* There it was. the one lone, long nose hair. WTF is that? How long has it been there? Has it been there since I turned 40? Because it was NOT there before.
I plucked that little bastard right out of my nose. Now I have blood trickling down. Was I just supoosed to trim it? Or should this rid it of my nose forever.
It's strange. I sort of miss the tickle.

Reminder to Self

Socializing can be fun. Sometimes I have to remind myself of that. :)
We were invited to a party that my neighbor was throwing last night and we sort of said yes out of obligation. That and the fact that we are neighbors and we couldn't very well say that we weren't going to be home.
We like our neighbor and we like her boyfriend (who the party was for) but we weren't going to know anybody else there and so we were sort of feeling like we were going to be fish out of water. I'm not the most outgoing person IRL so wandering around a party and seeking small talk with a bunch of strangers who all know each other is NOT at the top of my list. Especially when playoff football is on tv.
We ended up having a great time. I do better socially than I think I do. And I didn't even find myself glued to michelle's side hoping that she would do all of the talking to the strangers. *grin*
And a big plus is that the guest of honor was as interested in the football game as I was so a couple of times he would grab my hand and lead me upstairs (heh, that sounds kind bad) so we could check out the game.
All in all, it was a very good time and I have to remember that I am not as socially retarded as I give myself credit for.
I do however have a massive headache today and a little dizziness going on so I won't be moving around much today. How on earth I let my neighbor talk me into doing straight shots of vodka is beyond me. *gag* *yawn*

Flea Markets, bday parties and NO baby showers

We're off to the flea mrket later this morning. I love the flea market. I get to walk around which gives me my excercise and it allows me to spend money on stuff that I really don't need. :)
Then later this afternoon we are going to a birthday party for my neighbor's boyfriend. The only bummer is that I'm going to miss the wildcard games today. *pout*
The good news is that I get to watch football tomorrow, no question. Michelle and I got invited to a baby shower for a friend of hers. Notice I said a friend of HERS. Not ours. It's a childhood friend of hers that I have met a few times but have no obligation to. I complain about all the showers that I have to go to for family members so there is NO way I am going to one for someone who isn't also a good friend of MINE. Michelle said that she knew I would say no. Especially with football going on tomorrow. So yay for me. No stupid baby shower. I may not get out of my jammies all day tomorrow. *hops*
Have a good weekend.

I's married now!!!

Sort of. Effective January 1st, 2007 our domestic partnership gave us all of the same legal rights as a married couple on the state level. Every single one, from what I understand. It is still called Domestic Partnership but the fact that we are given every single same right is a huge step.
Originally Michelle and I registered so that we could put Michelle on my insurance at work. Romantic, don't you think? *grin*
I have made no secret about the fact that I do not want to get married. I don't believe that a piece of paper is what makes a relationship legitimate and I think society has made a mockery of marriage. Britney Spears can have a shotgun wedding in Vegas with a man she doesn't love but two people of the same sex can not do the same simply because they are not the opposite sex. Why on earth would I want to participate in something so shallow as marriage.
That said, now that I am legally "married", I'm okay with it. Probably because I didn't have to do anything and we didn't have to make a big deal about it. We just woke up on the 1st and were suddenly married. All you breeders should be so lucky. *snort*
So California is finally starting to catch up with some of the other states. MA laws allow gay couples to marry and to call it marriage. CT, VT and NJ now have Civil Unions. All the same rights as married couples with the exception of calling it marriage. HI has some law called "Reciprocal Beneficiary Relationships" which I think is sort of like domestic partnership with limited rights.
Canada recognizes same sex marriage and Mexico City recently passed laws recognizing same sex couples. Israel is starting to get on board as well. In Israel, they will recognize same sex marriages that were performed outside of their country. But there is some law that makes it illegal for them to perform the unions.
So feel free to send wedding gifts to us. :)

New Year, New Name

I'm changing my username. My posts will no longer be signed as "Carey" and will now be signed as "Bravie". Feel free to continue calling me Carey in the blogs and on the board though if you're used to that.
Happy New Year to everybody.
