Deep thoughts

I think I need to do an inventory of my flip flops. I need to line them up on the living room floor and decide whether or not I need to buy some more. There might be a color that I don't own yet.

Companion post

Birds, apparently do NOT suffer from safe toilet syndrome. I was just outside, enjoying the sunshine when suddenly I heard a splat and then felt something. yep, birdshit down my left arm, across my left foot and all over my right flip flop. Grrrrrrr. Stupid bird.

Safe toilet syndrome

Dr. Oz says that this is what I have. I don't like to and in fact will not, poop in public. Dr. Oz says that one must be relaxed to poop. Some people only feel comfortable going at home and therefore don't go when out. Especially when on vacation. Plus, usually there is a lack of water and fiber when one travels so that adds to the problem.
So *sticks tongue out at those who have made fun of me*, Dr. Oz says that my condition is not abnormal nor uncommon.
I feel much better about myself now.

Just a couple of pics

The guy on the far right (next to Michelle)was called Mr. Dreamy Man by all of the women. Including me and Michelle. *swoon* We went back to this restaurant again in hopes of seeing Mr. Dreamy Man. Sadly he wasn't there.

A little Sr. Frogs action.

A picture of Michelle and I at our Fiesta and a couple of shots from the hotel.

This is the view from our rooms and our cabana on the beach. *grin*

Yaaaaaaaaaawn

We had a great time in Mexico. I can't go into great detail because it would be too long of a post. But there was lots of food, lots of booze, lots of sun and lots of relaxing.
The big snafoo came last night when we were supposed to fly home. As it turns out, there was a bolt missing that held the engine to the wing. Or something like that. Our flight got cancelled and we had to stay another night, come back to the airport this morning and hope that the plane was fixed. t's pretty bad when every single person on the flight did the sign of the cross as we took off. Even the non Catholics.
In any event, we made it home and we are exhausted. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn.

I got to do a little reading around here today. Yikes. What a week. I can't say that I'm sorry to have missed it. A big high five to Boo and MM. Speaking of...where is MM? And why haven't more of you updated? Is everybody staying away because of GAG? Or is everybody just busy? I hope it's the latter. I would hate to see one piece of poison run everybody off.

I see that Breezy and Monsty did not taint my blog too badly while I was gone. I'm still not sure about the 49er post. I believe my team was being insulted but I don't think a sistah would do that in my blog. *glares*

I was sad to hear about what happened at VT this past week. As a news junky, it was very interesting to see the kind of coverage that the US gets in other countries. We had BBC in our room and so it showed the BBC CNN. There was as much coverage in other countries about VT as I imagine there was here. Everytime I turned on the British TV, it was all about that tragedy. That and the French elections. OTOH, I only watched in the morning when Michelle was getting ready and late at night when we would go back to sleep. Oh, and when getting ready for dinner every night. I'm such a news junky.

Our trip...basically, we spent every single day in the sun. Either on the beach or by the pool. I have the most incredible tan. *big grin*
Michelle and I adopted a houseboy. His name is Roman and he was our gay cabana boy all week. His biggest dream is to come and visit SF and the Castro district. He saves every extra penny in a fund so that he can come out here and visit. We decided to adopt him and make him our houseboy. Heh, the simple things in life. He begged us to send him a loaf of sourdough bread. He said he would even take out of his SF fund if we would send him some. How cute is that? We got his address and we will be keeping in touch with him. And of course will be sending him bread every now and again.
I missed everybody and wish ya'll could have been there. *smoooooch* to all of my wonderful friends.

Happy to Report

That a certain blonde (blond) made it home safe and sound.

Friday is for Momma

*smooch* Most of the following comes from the brilliant Momma, she did a bunch of research for stuff to post to the blonde's blog while she was gone.

Did you know? The 49ers have the third easiest schedule this season based on percentages. *giggle* They better have a good year.

If they don't? Here's something for our favorite blonde pooter to use during the season.

A 49er Drinking Game!!!!! *giggle* Here's a couple examples...

For every sack given up by Kwame Harris … take 2 drinks.
For every play over 20 yards negated by a Kwame Harris penalty … take 2 drinks.
For every play where Kwame doesn’t give up the sack … take 3 drinks.

Here's the link for the blonde so she can use all of the rules.
http://49ersnews.wordpress.com/49ers-drinking-game/

How many months before training starts? She may need to practice her drinking. LMAO yeah right!

Happy Friday everyone! And remember..... courteous is, as courteous does. *smooch*

My favorite blonde joke

This is my favorite blonde joke and the saying from it *looks up* as become a phrase me and my friends use often when one of us does something stupid. *giggle*

There was a woman who wanted to repaint her house, so she called the contractor and set an appointment to meet with him.
When the contractor comes to her house they do a walk-through and he asks her what colors she would like.
When they come to the living room, she tolls him that she would like a nice and warm cream color. The contractor writes something down on his pad then walks to the window and yells "Greenside up."
The lady gets a little confused, and they continue to the dining room where she tells him, "I would like a nice warm white in here, nothing stark." The contractor writes something down on his pad again , then walks to the window and again yells, "Greenside up!"
The lady is really confused now but still does not say anything. They continue to her bedroom and she says, "I would like a nice, cool, relaxing blue in here." The contractor writes something on his pad and again walks to the window and yells, "Greenside up."
The woman is now totally perplexed and says to the contractor, "Three times I have told you the color that I want, and you write something on your pad, then you walk to the window and yell greenside up. What is going on?"
The contractor replies, "Well, if you look across the street, I have four blondes laying sod in your neighbours yard."

*gigglesnort*

Today's post is for MM and Boo, they are my favorites today... and I'm sure they know why. So everyone give them big smooches and tell them "You go girl!".

Who needs some Bailey's in their coffee this morning?

Utoh

Now I'm really worried. I just spoke with Monsty and she is putting both of her kids in a kennel for the next week so that she has time to manage my blog.

Adios Amigos

I thought this weekend would never get here. FINALLY.
As of 2pm pst, I am on vacation. WOOOO HOOOO. The most needed vacation ever in my life.
I leave tomorrow morning on an 8am flight and I won't be back until the following Sunday night.
8 days of great company, great food, great booze and a lounge chair with my name on it. Viva Mexico.
I would really prefer if the entire internet would shut down while I was gone because I hate to miss out on things. But I guess I can catch up on everything when I get back. So have fun without me. I'll miss you all muchly.

Beware

I will be having a couple of guest moderators on my blog while I am gone next week. Please watch after them as they are a couple of hooligans. I just may regret this. *shakes head* *giggle* I cannot wait to get to Mexico. I hope I get to shout "That's not a pinata but don't let that stop you from whacking it." Do you think they have Taco Bells in Mexico?

No more serious posts for now

Okay, it's been a rough week for me. Rough indeed. The bummer is that I can't even spell out here on my blog why it has been so craptastic. people get fired all the time for what is on their blog. All I can say is that I was issued a gag order. I am on formal warning and if I say one word about my job, I will be fired. So moving on...

Three days and counting.
Saturday morning I will be getting on a plane headed for Mazatlan, Mexico. I simply can not wait.
We will get to our hotel around 5pm on Saturday. Any guesses about what the first thing I will do? You betcha...Coco Loco, please, cabana boy. And may I have a shrimp cocktail with that? Yes please cabana boy, I would like it with avocado. Thank you in advance.
Luckily, we have been to Mazatlan so many times that I don't need to do any sightseeing. My days will consist of sitting in my lounge chair sipping booze and eating seafood all week. I will eat nothing but yummy, fresh seafood all week and I will be in heaven.
My nights will consist of, um, well, drinking. Some dancing, some eating, some wandering around but mostly drinking.
I've brought two books to read. One is an autobiography by Ellen Burstyn. I find her to be very interesting and am looking forward to reading her book. The other book is the latest one by Barack Obama. He has me interested in him as a candidate and I would like to get to know a little bit more about him.
*sigh* Is it Saturday yet? I'm soooooo ready.

New things I learned

1. Good friends are NOT a dime a dozen. One should treat them better.
2. It's not nice to take out your bad day on good friends. Especially your best friend. *sigh*
3. We should remember who loves us the most and not take them for granted.
4. Girlfriends(not life partner type of girlfriends) are a treasure and are the best support.
5. Girlfriends (the life partner types) are likes gifts from the heavens.
6. Somtimes goofing around with friends who are not the ones who lift you up every single day can defuse an already bad mood.
7. Monsty is wise.
8. Anyone who agrees with Monsty, is wise.
9. It's okay to have bad days. It's not the end of the world.
10. Even tan lines, or no tan lines, on your ass are much better than uneven lines.
11. One should always remember to re-tie their bathing suit tops when they sit up.
12. Always check first to make sure you have buns and veggies for the burgers when you promise to bbq burgers for your spouse.
13. One should try to hang in there and not have their second nervous breakdown of the year just four days before leaving on vacation.

Things I've learned

It's not good to speak your mind. That just makes you an asshole.
If you are the type to speak your mind, be prepared to have most negative things blamed on you.
No matter one's intentions, you will inevitably piss someone off, hurt someone's feelings or disappoint someone. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Don't be the one who people come to in order to vent. You'll be blamed for being negative.
Spirit and feistiness and being passionate about things just brings trouble. It's better to be meek and quiet.
Don't speak your mind. Most thoughts are better left in the head and not out of the mouth.
When you are the type who is naturally honest and up front, people don't like that. So in return, they try to up the nastiness factor in being honest with you. Because obviously having a limited filter between the brain and the mouth means that you are evil.
Yep, I'm learning a lot of things this week.
So what have you learned?

Quick update

Well, I had my meeting with boss lady today. Basically, I can't say a word about that meeting here or I will be fired. I think the fact that I am typing that here, tells you how the meeting went. *sigh* I still have a job though.

Saturday, I leave for Mexico for a week. I don't think that I have ever needed a vacation as much as I need this one.

The Giants lost on Sunday. That's okay though because my Mom and I had a really good time together. It was a fantastic day. Both the company that I was with (my mommy) and the weather and the yummy ballpark food. I bought a cute new shirt too. It's a pink babydoll shirt with the Giants logo on the front. I like it muchly. *grin*

I'm going to go and make myself a drink and indulge in some smokey smoke because today sucks ball sacks.

But...the good news is that Breezy, Momma and True are hiding in my suitcase and going to Mexico with me. Anyone else want to go with us?

Stupid Question

Since we can now clones animals and such, can we bring back animals that have become extinct by cloning them? Or can we only clone from living cells?

Tears of joy, or sorrow?

It always confuses me. I guess it doesn't matter. I find that I can not see a homecoming of troops without crying. Happy that they made it home safely. Sad that they have to be at risk. I hate the war. Hate it. I hate that these families have to live day to day just hoping that their loved ones will make it home. It breaks my heart. And warms my heart when they come home. Thank God that we have men and women who are willing to put their lives at risk for us. I just wish that they didn't have to fight wars that don't necessarily put our lives at risk.

Edited to add lyrics to one of my favorite songs by the Dixie Chicks:

Dixie Chicks – Travelin’ Soldier lyrics
Two days past eighteen
He was waiting for the bus in his army green
Sat down in a booth in a cafe there
Gave his order to a girl with a bow in her hair
He's a little shy so she gives him a smile
And he said would you mind sittin' down for a while
And talking to me,I'm feeling a little low
She said I'm off in an hour and I know where we can go
So they went down and they sat on the pier
He said I bet you got a boyfriend but I don't careI got no one to send a letter to
Would you mind if I sent one back here to you
Chorus: I criedNever gonna hold the hand of another guy
Too young for him they told her
Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier
Our love will never end
Waitin' for the soldier to come back again
Never more to be alone when the letter said
A soldier's coming home
So the letters came from an army camp
In California then Vietnam
And he told her of his heart
It might be love and all of the things he was so scared of
He said when it's getting kinda rough over here
I think of that day sittin' down at the pier
And I close my eyes and see your pretty smile
Don't worry but I won't be able to write for awhile
One Friday night at a football game
The Lord's Prayer said and the Anthem sang
A man said folks would you bow your heads
For a list of local Vietnam dead
Crying all alone under the stands
Was a piccolo player in the marching band
And one name read and nobody really cared
But a pretty little girl with a bow in her hair
Repeat Chorus.

Results of the Cow Palace

Well, here is what I came home with from the tattoo expo. Obviously it is still healing so it doesn't look like it is even and it looks blotchy but that will change when it heals. All I can say is this...if you are going to get a tattoo, don't get it on your ankle. The one on my shoulder was zip, zap, easy. This one? Holy shit. I almost passed out a couple of times. Never on the ankle again. I'm sticking to other parts of the body next time.
