Have a safe and Happy New Year's weekend everybody. *smooches*

Dear Augie

Please don't be mad at me anymore. I made a huge mistake today and I will not even try to blame it on the cold medicine. I had a terrible lapse in judgement and thought I was being funny. *snicker* It was funny. Oooops, I'm apologizing. It was not funny and it was in fact bordering on cruel. I know you are going through a lot right now with Monsty and Glow and Nookie being gone. I'm glad that Breezy was able to comfort you today when I was such a shitty little sistah.

I have decided to back away from my mistake. I will not go near it ever again. I promise you that. It was a horrible joke that went much too far and I have learned my lesson. I hope you'll forgive me. I haven't reached perfection yet, like you have. I guess I just don't learn as quickly as you do. That's why we refer to you as the smartest of them all.

Whew

I can breath a little easier now that Christmas is over. Tomorrow at work, I can get back to browsing the blog world, althoughI did notice a new addition or two to our little circle so I had to go check those out. And I popped over to OT a couple of times this weekend. So I'm getting back into the real world.

Dad came home from the hospital on Friday. It was touch and go as to whether I would be able to go to their house on Christmas though. I came down with a nasty flu/cold and I didn't want to get him sick. Luckily I was vigilant in taking my Airborne/vitamin C/Orange Juice/Nyquil/Aleve cold&sinus/Afrin/Christmas cookies/Fudge/other cookies/candy, that I don't think I'm contagious any longer *achooo* exsqueeze me. I am still sick but at least the body aches are gone.
So Christmas with the family very nice. I went over at breakfast and then we opened presents and then we just hung out. Michelle showed up after being at her parent's house and my Mom's best friend came over because she does every year. Then around 2pm people started to bring us food. My Dad's best friends all pitched in and made us a complete dinner. Deep fried turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, candied yams, mashed potatoes, pies with real whipped cream (I thought of Coco when no Cool Whip showed up)
I couldn't believe that these people took the time out of their own Christmas Day to do this for us. My Dad has some wonderful friends. I just can't believe that they would do this for my Dad and our family. It was the best Christmas meal we have ever had. Despite the fact that I couldn't taste a thing because of my cold, I ate every single thing and enjoyed it more than any other year. Now I know what love tastes like.

Updating blog

This is my big update:

I have nothing to update.

ETA: Augie is trying to get me banned from that other place. *evil eye*

Are you ready for some football

I just realized that it is a battle of my sistah's teams on Monday night football.
Augie's team VS. Breezy's team.
Both teams suck. HAH!!!!
What a pissy Monday night football game this will turn out to be. Maybe I'll clean the bathroom tonight.
The only thing worse could be a 49er/Houston, Monday night game. LMAO

Rain, rain, go away

I know I shouldn't complain because most of you deal with severe weather and snow and ice.
Too bad, I'm going to complain anyhow. Rain sucks. Rain with wind sucks more. 7 of our next 10 days will be rain. Oh WOW, we just had a huge bolt of lightning and a large roar of thunder hit. It shook the entire house.
The rainy season puts me in a depressed mood. I'll probably be cranky until spring. Hrmph.

Construction worker update

Well, as Michelle was leaving for work this morning, the workers were showing up. She spoke to a woman who pointed her towards the owner's son. Michelle had a long talk with him. Construction dude's name is Eric. and Eric is not normally like this but they agreed that he should not have behaved the way that he did. Michelle did explain that I did not help things along with my mouth but that he had started off being nasty with us so he got it in return. They are going to deal with Eric today and they will be calling me back at some point.
I'm not against a reconciliation with Eric. As long as he keeps his big fat piehole in check. *grin*

Guess who got a raise!!!

Finally, after 5 years, I got a riase today. Woo Hoo.

On an unrelated note, I got into a HUGE argument with a construction worker today. A half hour after i got home today a construction guy parks a 40ft trailer in front of my driveway and detaches the truck from the trailer. He then starts unloading his tractor and whatnot. Then he starts driving away on the tractor leaving the truck and the trailer in front of my driveway and three others. Now what you need to know is that directly across the street is a huge empty space where he could have done this and not blocked anybody. In fact they have been doing this for the past month. So now it's 5pm when people come home and the driveways are blocked. Michelle pulls up and honks at him. He ignores her and goes about his business. A few minutes go by and she honks again, he continues to ignore her. I yell across the way that he needs to not block the driveways. THEN??? He yells at my girlfriend. That's it, gloves off and my mouth gets to going. He continues to yell at Michelle which sends my blood pressure through the roof. DO NOT EVER YELL AT MY GIRFRIEND, EVER EVER EVER!!!!!. So I come outside and call him a fucking moron and a fucking asshole and I proceed to tell him how fucking stupid he is. He tells me that we can wait 5 minutes. I tell him that we don't know how long he will be, we shouldn't have to wait when we get home, we pay taxes and a mortgage and when we get off work we don't need some FUCKING MORON blocking our driveway. He starts to yell at me and I screamed for him to shut his fucking piehole. *snort* He tells me that if I want to be that way, he will show me how long he can sit there and not move his trailer. "Oh really you fucking idiot?, my guess is that you will move it as soon as the cops get here." He tells me to call the cops as he continues to re assemble his truck and trailer. I get on the phone, call 411, get the number to his company and walk inside. Now he thinks I'm calling the cops. I left a long rant on the voice mail of his company. I come out and he says he will wait there until the cops come. I ignore him and walk inside. he obviously thought the cops were coming because he sat there like a fucking moron waiting. I outwaited him and he finally realized that the cops weren't coming so he left.
The moral of my story is, don't fuck with my girlfriend ever. I automatically engage attack mode and lose any control of my temper. Now he and I will have to exchange looks for the next 6 months of construction across the street. This should be interesting.
have I mentioned that I am under a lot of stress these days? I think I may have unloaded some of that on him.

It's pantsless Wednesday

Isn't it?

14 years ago Michelle and I began our journey together. Two people who swore to perpetual singleness and here we are. I have no idea where my life would have taken me if it weren't for Michelle. She has provided love, support, stability, trust, friendship and a great life. I can't imagine not having Michelle. I truly am the lucky one in this relationship. I look forward to the many more years that I get to spend with her by my side. She has been a wonderful treasure for me. Happy Anniversary Michelle. I love you.

ETA:
It's too bad that she doesn't like country music because everytime I hear this song, I think of her.

Bless The Broken Road:

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Chorus:
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Repeat Chorus:
Now I’m just rollin’ home into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you

Getting back on track

I'm going to try and get back on track before this week ends. Here are my randoms for now:

I have not had much time to post on OT nor have I had much time to do my daily blog roll. This stresses me out greatly. I am missing some good stuff.

I will be doing my cookie exchange cookies this Sunday. I have not forgotten. Just got delayed.
Speaking of, I received some wonderful cookies from one of my givers. Michelle stole most of them.

Virtual Midol isn't worth a shit. Give me a half hour and we'll see how the real thing works. I could have easily torn off anyone's head today and then spent the rest of the day crying about it. *sigh* The day isn't over yet.

I'm still floating on a cloud from this past weekend. I have my ups and downs about it. That's hormones for you. One minute I am just grinning ear to ear thinking about my sistahs and getting to see them. The next minute I want to cry because I miss them until it hurts inside of my heart. Guess which minute it is right now.

I forgot to get food for my cats. They all weigh over 12lbs, do you think they will whither away overnight? Should I empty out my entire pantry closet to get to the back of it to get their earthquake emergency cat food? I think not.

I need to update my earthquake kit and rearrange so that it is actually accessable.

I think Michelle is upset that I told her that I am not in the mood to cook dinner. I hope Golden Grahams and german chocolate cake will be acceptable to her.

What was this post about again?

Pictures

I hope these post in the order that I want them to and with the proper headings. I was having trouble with blogger. Again, I had the time of my life this weekend and couldn't imagine having more fun than I did. I will probably remember more things or be able to word more things later and will add more details to other posts to come.

Here is a group pic with the beautiful bride:

Me and Breezy before tearing up the dance floor. *giggle*

and then our ode to Miamicatt pics. *snort* we had a great time doing those pictures. LMAO

Here we have Nookie stealing the ice AND the sign telling people not to steal the ice.

Here we have Glow trying to steal my GF. The smile on Michelle's face is because she just had her face planted in between Glow's boobs. Michelle is a boob girl.

That's what friends are for

Where do I begin?
Friday:
Michelle and I arrived at the hotel and waited for my first sistah to arrive. When Nookie got there, I almost hit the floor. You really have no idea how gorgeous she is. No idea.
Anyhow, she walked into the lobby and I gave her a very short hello (long story but I needed to go to the liquor store real fast). Nookie went up and unpacked and then came to our room where we ate pizza, drank beer, chatted and waited for the rest of the sistahs to arrive.
Finally, Breezy, Glow and Jen showed up and we all did our hugs and hellos and immediately started drinking and laughing and chatting like a bunch of sorority sisters. We took pictures, to be posted later and just had a wonderful time talking it up. It was as if we had all known each other forever. Just so easy to get along and talk.
I have no clue what time everyone left the room that night. I passed out around 1:30am, they tell me.
Saturday,we all go tothe reception hall and help Glow with the decorating and then finally Augie showed up. Now everyone who was going to be there, was there. YAY!!!!!!!!
After decorating we went and did the things we all had to do and then we got ready for the party.

The Party:
We all walked into the hall and were greeted by the BEAUTIFUL bride. Glowie looked so gorgeous. Shawn is absolutely lucky to have her as a bride. Just beautiful.
What a great reception. Lots of booze, lots of dancing, lots of pictures, lots of fun. We spent the entire evening just cutting loose and having a wonderful time.
Some people *looks around* got a little wild on the dance floor and I'm not sure that we, I mean they, will be invited back to Pittsburgh anytime soon. Our group was pretty much the only group dancing all night long and so we were in clear view of everyone. *giggles*
Beware of Nookie when she drinks schnaaaaaps. That's all I'm saying. *grin*
So much happened that I really can not chronicle it all. But I will say that the highlight of the night for me was the last dance. The DJ obviously picked up on our friendship with Glow and he dedicated the last song to the bride and her girls. The seven of us connected to each other in a circle, hugging to the song "That's what friends are for". A song that will forever be connected to that moment in my mind. We just went around the circle and gave each other a kiss and we each sang the song and looked into one another's eyes and it pure perfection. The night could not have ended on a better note.
And although I wish all could have been there, I need to on an extremely personal note, say that I wish Monsty could have been there. Monsty is one of two of my first sistahs. I love her dearly and she was in my heart all weekend. *smooch*
What a wonderful weekend. One that is frozen in my brain for the rest of my life. Thank you all for such a memorable and fun and love filled weekend. I love you all dearly and this weekend just added to my love for each and every one of you.

Ground control to Major Tom

The countdown begins. In a little over 6 hours, my friend Sandra will be picking us up and taking us to the airport.
I have diligently checked weather.com every 3 1/2 minutes since 4:45am this morning.
SFO is showing 2 1/2 hour delays on arrivals but showing no delays on departures. Huh?
I hope this is right. I have checked the airline website every 6 1/2 minutes since 4:45am this morning. Oddly enough at 4:45am they had no information. My flight is at 12:45am. As of now they are showing no delays on that website either.
We have exactly 52 minutes in between flights once we land in Minnesota. *snort* Wish me luck.

Some of you I will see tomorrow, others on Saturday and for the rst of you, expect a detailed report on Monday.

Behave, play fair and have a wonderful weekend. I'll be thinking of you.
*smooch*
