Companion thread

This is sort of inline with the last post. Oh, and great suggestions everybody. At some point I am going to listen to all of your suggestions on iTunes. Except for Nookies first couple of suggestions, Glowie's Ryan and Breezy's Kellie Nosepicker.

So Michelle and I were talking last night about our favorite all time albums. We said to name our top ten which in reality we had about 20 albums each in our top ten. This led us to the game of...If you were stranded on an island for the rest of your life, which 10 albums would you want with you. So what 10 albums do rate as the best 10 ever in your mind. And not any "Best of"
Mine in no particular order:

AC/DC--Back in Black
Led Zeppelin--Led Zeppelin IV
Billy Joel--Glass Houses
Melissa Etheridge--Brave and Crazy
Fleetwood Mac--Rumours
Michael Jackson--Off the Wall
Guns N Roses--Appetite for Destruction
No Doubt--Tragic Kingdom
Big and Rich--Horse of a Different Color
Dixie Chicks--Home or Fly, either one. I guess I would have to pick Home.

Moving along

After some wonderful advice and some venting and ranting and fun here, I feel a bit better about my last post. Nothing has changed but I'm ready to deal with it differently. So moving along...
Help me pick songs for the iPod. I have a balance of $36 and some change on iTunes. Give me YOUR essentials. My musical tastes are very ecclectic so throw me your ideas. I like everything from country to rock and most in between. Here are a couple of artists from a couple of different genres that I already have downloaded to give you an idea.
Justin Timberlake
Eminem
Edie Brickell
Natalie Merchant
Guns n Roses
Keith Anderson
Nickelback
Kenny Chesney
Sugarland
John Denver
Dolly Parton
Michael Jackson
Jack Johnson
Collective Soul
INXS
Missy Elliott
Dixie chicks
Billy Squier
Billy Joel
Cher
Fleetwood Mac
Queen Latifah
Hmmmm, I think I need some updated current stuff. Give me the scoop. What do I absolutely need to add to my iPod?

warning

If you received an IM from me in the past couple of days, it did not come from me. My computer was hacked into this morning and I know of at least one person who received a YM from me. The YM that was sent was to look at some pictures. Again, it was not sent by me, it was sent by a hacker. *sigh*

Okay, A real update Edited to add 2nd pic

I've got some serious shit going on in my life right now. Not serious as far as health and not serious as in relationship problems. Some serious shit at work. I can't talk about any of the details. Not a one. But it has me on high stress at the moment. So if I become cranky or snappy for no apparent reason, you know why. If I seem as if I am not around, it's because I'm stressing and staying away on purpose. When I stress, I become anti-social.
But I did enjoy downloading Justin on my iPod. I may have even downloaded an Air Supply song or two. I love my iPod.
Gotta jet. I have to finish cleaning the bathroom. My inlaws are coming in from New Mexico on Thursday and will be here until Tuesday. I'll have a 3 year old in my house for 5 days. Good Lord please help me survive. In the meantime, enjoy a picture from the end of the night on my birthday. *snort*

Edited because I said no health issues. But I am fairly sure that I either have whooping cough or a hole in my lung. We'll see how that plays out.

First I was afraid

I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
with this secret inside
But I spent so many nights
thinking how this can't be wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on...

And so I am here to make my confession. I will no longer be shamed into thinking that I can't share this secret with YOU, my bloggy friends. If you choose to judge me, I'll understand. I just hope that it will not put a wedge between us. I can't keep it to myself anymore. I have already put up with the ridicule of one friend who shall remain anonymous and I feel that the time has come to come clean with this. *sigh*
Please be kind. I am a bit embarrassed by it. Okay...here it goes...

I? am a Justin Timberlake fan.
There. I said it. It's out. And it's true that confessing makes my soul feel a little more clean.

Weekend Randoms

My friend Kimmy is in town. She forced me to go to Bingo last night. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I hate Bingo with a passion. But for Kimmy, I went. I won $350. :) Yay for me.

Tonight I will be hanging out with Catt, Nolay and Weltek. Go ahead and be gellus. Yay for me.

Kimmy is sleeping on the couch downstairs (that's where she fell asleep, we didn't want to wake her). But now I can't make coffee because I don't want to wake her. Boo for me. I need me some coffee.

I think tomorrow is going to be a quiet day at home. Football, laundry, downloading pics and downloading songs from iTunes.

I still deeply miss everyone who was here last week. *sniff*

I might have PMS, so excuse me if I am cranky.

I slept until 8:00am today. That is super late for me. Of course, I didn't go to bed until 2am but still.

Hope ya'll are having a great weekend.

Yay for me :)

I wanted to do something nice for Michelle since she threw me this spectacular party. But I wasn't sure what to do. Then when she gave me our schedule for the next month and half, I thought I could never do anything nice for her. Thanks to some help from Breezy, I did it. *big grin*
We are going to her sister's bachelorette party next Saturday night and Michelle had planned on driving. This meant no drinking for her. Well that would suck. So I booked us a room at a luxory hotel and it is in walking distance of all of the places we will be going to that night. I wanted to surprise her with it but Michelle and surprises go together like oil and water. So I called her and told her what I did.
She was shocked and happy and excited. She said that we could go there early and hang out (yes code) and then just get ready for the party at the hotel. I arranged for a late check out so we don't have to worry about getting up early and rushing out of there. It looks like an awesome room. I decided to upgrade and luckily they upgrade was cheaper when I called the hotel than the standard room was online. *hops*
We have a DVD player, a fridge, a microwave, a big king feather bed, a phone in the bathroom (always important) high speed internet which I will NOT be using, a private balcony, A coffee maker with Starbucks coffee, an extended floorplan whatever that is. And all within walking distance of where our partying will be.
*hops* She was so shocked that I did this that she didn't know what to say at first other than "honey, you didn't have to do this for me, thank you."
Yippee. Hearing her smile over the phone made me very happy today. :)

grrrrrrr

Blogger isn't letting me post pictures. Maybe I'll spend a couple of hours on Sunday downloading to photobucket and then posting. Very time consuming though. :(
